Jessica Skorich is a hero.
A few weeks ago, the company that had been hosting my website for 8 years made some ‘improvements’ to their platform. And poof! My website disappeared. Gone. Vaporized. Permanently lost.
This did not please me.
In desperation, I took to the internet and discovered Jessica Skorich. Liked her work, her style, her name. (‘Skorich’ could be a Superhero… just sayin’…)
I had strong ideas on what I wanted. Skorich made them better. And she responded quickly, efficiently and professionally to all my notes in creating my new website. She also took care of transferring my domains and email from that other hosting platform to a new, more secure host.
In other words, she saved my ass. Which is what heroes do.
She really should wear a cape.

I was really struggling to set up a quality, basic website for my travel blog when I found Jessica. I wanted to be able to focus on writing, rather than be overwhelmed by web design. Jessica did a great job of creating a website that looks professional and feels engaging, despite the small amount of content available at this point in the blog’s journey.
Having not worked with a web designer before, I did not know what to expect from the process. Jessica began by developing what my idea of the outcome would be. She asked me to put together examples of websites I liked, with comments on my thoughts. She then took the resulting ‘brief’ and established two preliminary options for me to choose from. After that she set about building the site. This involved the appearance of the site as I had expected; but she also went further in ensuring higher security, setting up better functionality and re-working some of my existing pages in a more dynamic way. Once finished, Jessica took the time to explain how the site worked and to point out opportunities for development in the future, as content and readership grow. I certainly recommend Jessica for anybody struggling with web design. I have discovered that having a website set up is not a one-stop service that you pay for and walk away with. It is a learning process that is always developing as new challenges arise. For this reason, it is best to build a positive relationship with a reliable and understanding designer like Jessica.

I needed to design an HTML email signature, but didn’t know anyone who did it. I knew of a few platforms that offered it, but then you had to pay yearly to host it. I was also checking out Fiverr, but I wanted to work more personally with a developer.
We were able to collaborate on the design, I really liked receiving a few designs so I could choose the one I liked the most. Also, the technical support when the signature was done, that was HUGE! It would’ve taken me a long time to figure out how to make it look right in my 3 email platforms!
